US, UK Unveil New Trade Deal
(MENAFN) The United States and the United Kingdom declared on Monday the conclusion of a fresh commercial pact, which President Donald Trump described as "fair" to both sides.
The announcement marks a step forward in economic cooperation between the two long-time allies.
President Trump emphasized that the deal will "produce a lot of jobs, a lot of income," and hinted that "many, many other ones" are also underway.
He also praised his close rapport with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, expressing confidence in the growing collaboration.
Prime Minister Starmer explained that the agreement involves sectors such as automotive duties and aerospace, calling it "really important" and confirming it has already been "implemented."
Following his bilateral talks with Trump during the G7 summit in Canada, Starmer added, "This is a very good day for both of our countries, a real seismic moment, so thank you again, Donald, a really important day for both of us."
